Privacy Policy

Pro Padel School Australia (ABN 19 618 939 611) (“PPS”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). It applies to propadelschool.com.au, app.propadelschool.com.au (including our online book reader) and the services we provide.

1. Information we collect

• Enquiries: your name, email, phone number, club or organisation and your message when you use our contact form, call, email or WhatsApp us.
• Course enrolments: name, email, phone, club details, invoicing details and, for club bookings, the names and emails of participants.
• Payments: processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details (such as the last four digits of the card), but we never see or store your full card number.
• Accounts (Academy, online courses and book reader): email, name, an encrypted (hashed) password, purchases, course progress, certificates, and reading progress, notes and highlights you create.
• Technical information: IP address, browser type, pages requested and security logs, used to run and protect our services.
• Juniors: where a service involves players under 18, we collect their details from a parent or guardian, with the parent or guardian’s consent.

You may contact us anonymously or under a pseudonym for general enquiries, but we need your real details to enrol you, issue certificates or provide paid services.

2. How we use it

• to answer your enquiries and provide consulting, coach education, academy, online courses and books;
• to process enrolments and payments, issue invoices and certificates;
• to give you access to your account, courses and books, and to keep them secure;
• to send service messages (for example, access links, receipts and course information);
• to send news or offers, only where you have agreed or the law allows — every marketing email includes an easy way to unsubscribe (Spam Act 2003);
• to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with trusted providers who help us run our services, and only as needed:

• Stripe — payment processing;
• Resend — sending our emails;
• Hetzner — secure hosting of our website, Academy and book reader;
• our online course platform at propadelschool.com — delivery of online courses and certificates;
• professional advisers, or authorities where required by law.

4. Overseas disclosure

Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, mainly in Germany and other EU countries and the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure they protect your information in a way consistent with the APPs.

5. Cookies

We only use cookies that are needed for our services to work, such as keeping you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.

6. Security and retention

We protect personal information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls, multi-factor authentication for administrators and regular backups. We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law (for example, financial records are kept for at least 5 years), and then delete or de-identify it.

7. Access and correction

You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you by emailing info@propadelschool.com.au. We will respond within 30 days. You can also ask us to close your account and delete your data, subject to our legal obligations.

8. Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, please email us first and we will try to resolve it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
